Land Acknowledgement

Before we begin our adventure, we’d like to take a moment to acknowledge the land we’re standing on. Niagara Falls is part of the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Neutral peoples, and it is covered by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant—an agreement to share and care for the lands and waters around the Great Lakes.

We’re grateful for the chance to explore this incredible place together, and as we enjoy its beauty, I invite you to also reflect on the deep history and continuing presence of Indigenous peoples here in Niagara.
